From a business perspective, how easy are you to reach? Is your communication reliable and consistent? I had a recruiter contact me via phone and email, asking for a meeting, but I was never able to connect with him after that. I'd never heard of the company, he didn't answer emails, and he didn't return phone calls. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed, and I passed on that opportunity.
Technology is great, but it should help make life easier, not complicate it. If you're not easy to reach, your technology isn't helping you, and it is costing you friends, customers, or opportunities.
